Job OverviewAs a Digital Solutions Analyst, you will be a part of the Komatsu team enabling enhanced digital experiences for our user communities. This Digital Solutions Analyst will focus on the digital product portfolio, My Fleet, within our My Komatsu member network. They will work to enhance and streamline our digital tools and platforms that enable our users with actionable data and visibility into their fleet, access to critical information to support the longevity and reliability of their equipment, and 24/7 parts support. Working within the My Komatsu member network, under the My Fleet portfolio, this role will focus on enhancing the experience between the My Fleet telematics experience and the e-commerce parts and solutions experience, ensuring users have streamlined journeys to identify and purchase the right part or solution, based on their fleet.
The ideal candidate has experience developing a deep understanding of users’ needs, translating needs into business requirements, and partnering with digital development teams to turn requirements into reality. This role will be instrumental to shape the product vision and roadmap, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user-centered design principles, oversee development to ensure adherence to requirements, and manage digital products across their product lifecycle. They will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our digital products through design, build, and deploy stages, while ensuring coherence with Komatsu’s objectives and digital vision.
The Digital Solutions Analyst will be a member of Komatsu’s Digital Office, working cross-functionally to enhance the experience between My Fleet telematics and e-commerce, ensuring users have streamlined journeys to identifying and purchasing the right part or solution, based on their fleet. The role will interface with cross-functional, global teams, as well as participate in dealer and customer engagements. This role will have an opportunity to bring ideas to the team and leverage new and advancing technologies in the market. They will support the digital team in driving an increase in active users, user engagement, and parts and solution sales.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesWork with Digital Product Managers to help design, develop, and deploy digital solutions in alignment with organizational goals and best practices. Partner with Digital Product Managers to define and execute the product visions and strategies, in alignment with Komatsu’s digital objectives and product strategy framework. Consider cross-product strategies, identifying integration opportunities based on user needs and journeys.
Develop and maintain digital product roadmaps, within the My Fleet portfolio, focusing on the integrated My Fleet and parts buying experience. Ensure we have a plan for continuous improvement based on user feedback, industry trends and business objectives. Outline clear objectives, define and measure key performance indicators, align stakeholder expectations, set priorities, define user stories and product features, understand dependencies, and more.
Develop a deep understanding of our users, persona groups and their needs, performing voice of customer, voice of distributor and data analysis across product portfolios. Maintain ongoing relationships with platform vendors, distributors, and customers. Translate user and business needs into detailed product requirements and user stories. Prioritize requirements across the My Fleet portfolio. Utilize user feedback to guide product roadmap and strategy updates, solve customer issues and identify areas for improvement, especially as it relates to My Fleet and e-commerce integrations.
Collaborate cross-functionally across design, build, deploy, and other product lifecycle phases. Ensure opportunities for integrations across our broader digital ecosystem and digital product offering are considered as part of the product roadmaps. Work with experience design team members to optimize user experience. Work closely with the development and technical teams to ensure development meets identified requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally and globally, gather user feedback, analyze product performance to implement product improvements and enhancements.
Develop user acceptance testing plans, considering the involvement of key user groups across product portfolios. Perform UAT, working in coordination with our ICT teams. Validate product vs. requirements throughout usability testing, QA and acceptance testing.
Administer front and back end of My Fleet portfolio of digital products.
Develop key training documentation, including technical training content for asynchronous self-support.
Provide advanced support for digital products under the My Fleet portfolio. Support user enrollment and troubleshoot advanced user/ application issues for our user community.
Manage S-BOM, our solution for serialized parts books. Define requirements and support publication of serialized parts books. Determine integration points with other aspects of our digital ecosystem to ensure efficient and easy identification of the right part.
Utilize enterprise data analysis techniques and tools to derive actionable insights and streamline business processes.
Coordinate with marketing communications, commercial, and support teams to prepare for product launches and releases, ensuring successful roll-out, communications and adoption of digital products.
Travel to customer and distributor locations to oversee implementations, participate in conferences, customer events, etc.
Collaborate with global colleagues, including participation in meetings before or after regular hours, approximately twice per week
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science, UX design, or a related field.
  • Experience in software design/development, product management, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to identify customers' true underlying business needs, recognize trends and anticipate future customer needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. You must have the ability to present intricate and complex details in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to pull, analyze and visualize data. Efficiently provide accurate, relevant, and timely information and analysis. Experience with Analytics platforms a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience working with or developing user stories that are concise, feasible, and have clear acceptance criteria and applying those stories to road mapping exercises.
