Job Summary:

The Predictive Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery, equipment, and facilities by utilizing various technologies, interpreting the data collected, generating reports for customers, and conducting preventive maintenance tasks. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. The Predictive Maintenance Technician will perform field service work in-house and at customer sites under the required instruction/supervision according to the quality procedures and/or customer specifications/work order. Experience working in an industrial environment is beneficial.

Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collecting and analyzing vibration, ultrasound and thermographic information on fans, blowers, electrical motors, gearboxes, compressors and conveyors.
• Conduct vibration analysis to support rotating equipment maintenance program.
• Perform diagnostic, maintenance and troubleshooting activities associated with rotating equipment.
• Perform complex predictive maintenance activities to detect fundamental machinery problems including misalignment, roto eccentricity, mechanical degradation, and belt drive problems.
• Build, edit and fine tune machinery databases.
• Recommend repairs to equipment based upon diagnostics and write detailed reports about your findings.
• Assure that all applicable documentation is completed and entered into the system properly.
• Report data in a clear, concise manner following approved procedures.
• Communicate and deliver reports to customers about your findings.
• Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone, or personal contact with customers, outside vendors, and/or service providers.
• Travel to complete work at customer site, as required.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
• All other duties as designed.

Qualifications & Abilities

• Associate’s degree or Technical Certificate in instrumentation, electrical or related field required.
• Two or more years of direct preventative maintenance experience.
• Industry recognized training in Static and Dynamic Motor Circuit Analysis (preferred).
• Cat 1 and Cat 2 Vibration Institute certification (preferred)
• Ability to perform maintenance activities associated with rotating equipment and vibration monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of general computer applications with the ability to learn company-specific programs.
• Knowledge of machinery fundamentals including pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, compressors, switchgear, etc.
• Must have the ability to work in both a team setting and individually with minimal supervision.
• Able and willing to work in on-call and off-shift situations as required by customers or management.
• Demonstrates a strong ability to plan time for effective utilization and allocation of your resources for service delivery.
• Demonstrates excellent written, oral, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• The ability to travel as required.
• Willing and able to work at heights, in confined spaces and in hot or cold weather conditions.
• Willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment and PPE.

Classification & Compensation

• The position is full-time, permanent and non - exempt.
• The pay range varies, depending on experience, skills, abilities, and length of service with the Company.
