Kootenai Health System is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician Near Coeur d Alene, ID

Kootenai Health is currently hiring a patient-focused, compassionate Pharmacy Technician with a drive to provide exceptional care to those they serve.

Position Summary:

As a certified pharmacy technician, prepares, compounds, and dispenses medical orders/prescriptions under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

  • May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department
  • Receives and stores incoming supplies
  • Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Communicates effectively with customers
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Typically reports to supervisor or manager
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
  • Competent to meet age specific needs of the patients served

Full Time - Variable Shift - 80 Hours per pay period - will consider Pharmacy Tech or Certified Pharmacy Tech

Pharmacy Tech requirements and minimum qualification

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be a graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience
  • M ust have a Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy
  • Must have at least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data based software programs
  • BLS required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation

Certified Pharmacy Tech requirements and minimum qualifications :
