Korn Ferry has partnered with our client to search for a Controller. Our client seeks a confident, experienced candidate motivated to contribute to the company’s success. This person will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial systems and procedures, including month-end closings, flash, US GAAP, budget/re-forecast, and other projects as necessary.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the finance team, including the accounting staff, accounts receivable, payroll, and procurement.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the finance team.
• Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained to safeguard the financial assets. This includes (SOX) regulations, accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinate all requests/documentation related to external and internal audits.
• Work with leadership on financial analysis and board proposals for potential acquisitions.
• Review balance sheet accounts every month to ensure all balances are reconciled properly with supporting backup.
• Lead and/or assist in completing budgets and forecasts.
• Manage accounting staff and coordinate with operations month-end /close.
• Work with leadership on the strategic plan.
• Review USGAAP schedules quarterly for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Review financial statements and explain variances in queries as necessary.
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
• Lead, manage, and mentor the accounting and finance staff.

Educational & Work Requirements:

• Degree: Bachelor’s in accounting, finance or business
• Work Experience: 5 years of relevant financial management experience. Experience in the construction, manufacturing, industrial services, or distribution industry is strongly preferred.
