Korn Ferry is Hiring a Senior Accountant (Corporate) Near Deerfield, IL
We have partnered with our client in facilities services in their search for a Senior Accountant (hybrid role in Deerfield, IL). This is a 6 month contract role that could turn permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Review, assess, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting and procedural standards.
- Prepare month-end journal entries, accompanied by the necessary supporting documentation.
- Conduct various balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, work in process, accrued liabilities, and other accounts.
- Analyze weekly cash and bank transactions to ensure proper recording.
- Examine and review reconciling items or accounting issues, providing recommendations and resolutions.
- Calculate and reconcile sales commissions and annual bonuses.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the documentation of procedures.
- Perform variance analysis and offer insights on changes in trends and period-to-period movements.
- Support the preparation of internal monthly and year-end financial reports.
- Assist in annual audit procedures by gathering data, explaining variances, and preparing documentation.
- Handle ad-hoc requests, including aiding the business with various reporting or special projects such as system implementations/enhancements, ad-hoc business analysis/modeling, local tax reporting and compliance, acquisition and integration support, and other assigned tasks.
Skills Required
- Extensive experience with: Corporate General Ledger and month-end close, JE's, B/S Rec, Review of Corp P&L, Maintenance of ASC 842 database, Cash / Bank - cash reporting / reconciliation.
- Exceptionally skilled in utilizing Excel Spreadsheets.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft 365.
- Proficient in financial management concepts.

- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years' Work Experience
