The Role:
In this role, you will:
Be accountable for deliveringcategory expense savings/avoidances, and drafting customized contract terms toproactively address business requirements and risk concerns.
Proactively identifiesand escalates contract risk-related issues, and identifies and createsalternative contract language to mitigate risks (financial, operational, andreputational) when negotiating Master Agreements, Transaction Documents (e.g.Statement of Work or Schedule), Amendments and other contractual documents.
Works with keystakeholders (senior leaders) across the LOB or enterprise to determine thelong-term needs and applicable supply/service strategies.
Work with businesspartners to identify and drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) processimprovements to reduce costs.
Supports initiativesspecific to e-business (procure-to-pay), diversity, and sustainability in aneffort to continually improve category effectiveness and efficiencies.
Provide input andleadership into the development of LOB periodic business reviews, StrategicSourcing’s annual LOB and category strategy reviews and acts as StrategicSourcing’s liaison to key LOB leaders
Lead vendor governanceactivities (i.e. supplier briefs, internal stakeholder meetings, vendorperiodic business reviews) specific to Wells Fargo’s most critical vendors.
Contribute to improvingLOB and/or Strategic Sourcing processes and systems to enable more robustprocesses, or efficiencies/expense reductions.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications:
Fundamentalunderstanding of contract law, including a minimum of 5 years’ experiencedrafting, reviewing, and interpreting contracts.
Comprehensive sourcingand contract negotiation experience with suppliers in one or more of thefollowing categories: professional services or contingent labor, technology(e.g. IT consulting and hardware/software/SaaS), facilities and orconstruction, financial services industry related products and services.
Experience negotiatingcontracts and sourcing for a large complex organization in highly regulatedenvironment.
Ability to projectmanage deals, including legal, financial and stakeholder reviews.
Strong benchmarking andanalysis capabilities.
Proficiency with leadingweb-based contract management, strategic sourcing (RFx) and reverse auctiontools (ex: Beeline, Emptoris, and Ariba).
Experience managingthird party relationships and measuring performance results
Ability to provideleadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
Ability to quickly establishcredibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
Strong time managementskills and ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical skillsand high attention to detail
