The Role:

Job Duties:

  • Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans, or process control procedures that will ensure production of finished products that meet quality specifications and standards.
  • Maintain and assist in the development of departmental procedures, including updating and distributing manuals and other documents.
  • Work with the Engineering Department on old and new projects to assure proper tolerance capability.
  • Respond to customer complaints and rejections with corrective action.
  • Visit customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality issues.
  • Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications in products or quality standards when warranted.
  • Conduct internal quality audits to ensure procedures are being followed in compliance with ISO/TS and IATF.
  • Perform/direct all tasks to fulfill PPAP requirements.
  • Develop new business prospects by proactively seeking and developing new opportunities.
  • Manage project launches and ensure program management occurs in a timely, cost effective manner.
  • Prepare quotes for new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • A four-year technical degree or engineering degree is required.
  • Prior experience working in quality assurance is required. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
