This Opportunity
Our Chicago office is seeking an Associate to join their Asset Management team. We are looking for a self-starter, who is highly collaborative, analytical and has a strong interest in Real Estate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the management of a diverse real estate portfolio.
• Support implementation of asset management strategies, including income and expense forecasting, leasing plan, capital budget, value creation activity and risk-return analysis for assets.
• Participate in the review of annual budgets and leasing plans of assets.
• Assist in preparation of annual business plans including financial, market, and hold/sell analysis.
• Ensure compliance with client investment management agreements.
• Prepare financial analysis/modeling for asset management decision-making.
• Utilize data analytics regularly to assist in informing asset level strategy and driving performance.
• Assist in the oversight of third parties which perform the day-to-day operations of the assets.
• Review appraisals and valuations.
• Help assess the current and projected performance of properties.
• Assist Head of sector specific asset management team in implementing and establishing best practices and consistent procedures across the sector portfolio.
• Prepare reports and documents for review by senior management.

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of real estate experience (valuation experience highly desired).
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or real estate, preferred.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and writing skills.
• Well-organized, detail oriented and deadline driven.
• Enjoys working in a dynamic team environment.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
• Argus Enterprise/Argus and PowerBI experience a plus.
• Ability to travel with frequency.
