KPS Global is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Fort Worth, TX
- Invoicing customers timely after shipments, and coordinating posting of collection
- Paying vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; scheduling and preparing checks/wires and resolving purchase orders to invoice discrepancies
- Maintaining customer credit files for all international customers; credit files will include items such as: New Customer Sheet, credit application and financial statements, international credit reports (if applicable), credit applications, and documentation on collection problems
- Securing pediments that support sales tax credits and processing credit memos
- Contacting international customers on past dues balances with initial contact within at least 15 days after becoming past due; must be proactive in resolving issues, researching and adjudicating customer claims of payments, researching and resolving charge-backs, returns, short pays, and bad checks; must answer phone inquiries from customers on account status and request assistance or guidance from management as required (i.e. credit hold, collection agency, etc.)
- Obtaining customer credit application and financial statements for customers requesting credit terms and completing a preliminary review and analysis prior to submitting to management for approval
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Managing contract customers including preparing schedule of values, payment application, and providing insurance and other requirements; submitting information to the customers’ portal
- Maintaining historical records by use of Laserfiche and document filing
- Maintaining accurate customer overview of A/R balances and activities and handling specific key accounts
- Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and records entries
- Completing rework and back-charge review through and including weekly reporting to assure these charges are coded and entered appropriately based on expense type and cost center
- Accounting or Finance degree
- 5 years of related experience
- Intermediate level of skill with MS Office programs including Word and Excel
- Solid knowledge of accounting fundamentals and principles
- Familiarity with AR software packages , ERP -Syteline
- Understanding of AR intersection with other disciplines
