Requirements Description & Requirements The Sr. Category Leadership Advisor will own facilitating Field Category Leadership prioritization on Category Leadership topics with the Sales Leadership team. In addition, this position supports the overall application of category management principles to business issues, identifying category business opportunities and providing an assessment of the merchandising controllables, including shelf, assortment, innovation, and aisle strategy. The position also coordinates information and category management related activities that are conducted in conjunction with the Customer Business Development team.
The Sr. Category Leadership Advisor is a story telling expert, highly skilled in the use of analytical tools, combining disparate pieces of data and insights into a comprehensive story and can complete a category review process with limited supervision. In addition, the Sr. Category Leadership Advisor can represent and explain the process independently to Buyers and Customer senior management as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Identify root causes of customer issues and opportunities and deliver compelling stories to drive action to address
  • Develop and own stand alone relationships with key customer team leaders, bringing insights to life through deliverable action plans.
  • Run the identification of category / customer business opportunities, develops concrete recommendations, and supports customer business teams in execution
  • Establish team customer category priorities that are consistent with goals and objectives as defined by the customer and Kraft Heinz
  • Develop impactful customer-specific category development recommendations in support of key business building initiatives
  • Expert in using multiple inputs including syndicated data, shopper card and household panel data that support compelling stories that spur business recommendations
  • Able to educate, apply, and advise on category management best practices
  • Category Leadership representative in strategic customer meetings and interaction, e.g., JVP meetings
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in the consumer products industry
  • Proven experience in Category Leadership
  • Strong syndicated and panel data knowledge
  • Passion for personal and team development
  • Strong industry / sales knowledge with emphasis on category and space management
  • Solid organization, project management and planning skills with the ability to execute with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent interaction and outside of the Kraft Heinz

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work EnvironmentWe believe our office environment fuels our collaboration, connection & community as an organization and allows our employees to grow toward greatness.
