Job Description:

As a Dental Assistant at Kraja and Sidhu, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental practice. Your primary responsibilities will be divided between chairside assisting, sterilization duties, ordering and maintenance, and contributing to the overall success of our patient-focused dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

Chairside Dental Assistant:

Assist the dentist during dental procedures by providing chairside support, anticipating needs, and ensuring patient comfort.

Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.

Take and develop dental X-rays as instructed by the dentist, following safety guidelines.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.

Record and maintain accurate patient digital records in compliance with privacy regulations.

Assist in booking and coordinating follow-up appointments and specialist referrals.

Maintain stocked and organized operatories.

Contribute to a positive and friendly atmosphere for both patients and team members.

Other Duties:

Perform thorough and efficient sterilization of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Maintain and organize sterilization areas to ensure a clean and orderly workspace.

Monitor and manage inventory of dental supplies and materials.

Prepare, coordinate, and keep track of lab cases. Schedule pickups and ensure insert appointments are booked appropriately.

Assist front desk staff with day to day duties when appropriate.

Qualifications:

Completed a recognized dental assisting program or relevant certification.

X-ray certification in accordance with state regulations.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
