**Job Summary:**

Krantz Chiropractic Clinic is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement.

**Responsibilities:**

- Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies

- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe

- Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount

- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments, denials, or underpayments

- Appeal and resubmit claims when necessary

- Post payments to patient accounts

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations

**Skills:**

- Proficiency in medical coding including ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Experience in medical office operations

- Strong understanding of medical records management

- Ability to handle medical billing and collections efficiently

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role

- Certification in Medical Billing and Coding preferred

- Excellent communication skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy in work

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
