We have immediate openings for a Instrumentation Engineer with multiple years of direct turbomachinery experience.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.
The instrumentation engineer will have knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or applicable systems related to the design, definition, and installation of sensors for turbomachinery. Demonstrated ability to work on design and development of engineering tests in a team environment.
Education and Experience:At least 5 years progressive experience in the instrumentation environment.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Instrumentation Engineer will be able to define sensors for the measurement of pressure, temperature, acceleration, strain, proximity, rotational speed, and others. The engineer will also define the routing and termination of sensors and support the data acquisition for these sensors The instrumentation engineer will be able to support, evaluate and debug the installation of these sensors in an engine test environment. The ability to install sensors is a plus.
Physical Demands: Physical effort required. Will be required to perform occasional lifting of materials up to 30 lbs. Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, climb, grasp, eye hand coordination, view very small objects, and move about the facility.
Personal Protective Equipment: When required in designated lab areas and engine test facilities.
Work Environment: Work performed in a combination of office and lab environment. Some Travel may be required. Employee will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
