The Role
As Project Architect, your primary role will be to take a project from the schematic design phase through the completing of the contract documents and Construction Administration. You will be responsible for project delivery, including the assurance of technical quality and execution of tasks within the budgeted hours of the project and the scheduled timeframe. As Project Architect, you will lead, manage, and coordinate the consultants and any internal staff members who are assigned to the project. You will also be expected to advise and mentor junior staff members who are working on the project. In this role, deadlines are especially important.

A Day in the Life

· Project leader in the development and creation of technical documentation for various projects.

· Utilize hand drawings, sketches or computer software to create the project deliverables.

· Utilize Revit to create the technical deliverables.

· Utilize company approved project checklists during documentation creation.

· Lead and coordinate with the project consultants.

· Assist with contract administration duties.

· Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects.

· Ensure each project complies with the state and local building codes

· Lead the construction administration duties.

· You must be a master communicator (with Ownership, consultants, Contractors and the Municipality)

· Communicate and work with the internal staff to ensure a successful project delivery.

Qualifications

· Bachelors or Master’s in architecture from an accredited college/university

· 5 years of related architectural experience with a strong focus on construction documentation desired

· Strong organizational, technical and project management skills

· Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

· A deadline driven individual.

· Ability to take direction and also collaborate with a team.

· Able to communicate effectively with clients and consultants.

· Strong understanding of materials, construction processes, and detailing of buildings.

· Must have a fluent understanding of Autodesk Revit and the Microsoft suite of programs.
