Department: Pharmacy Job Type: Full Time Salary Range: $ $35,240 - $47,460 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)QualificationsEducationRequired:Pharmacy Technician I:
High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
Pharmacy Technician II:High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: N/A
ExperiencePharmacy Technician I:
Minimum 6 months pharmacy tech experience OR previous experience as a pharmacy service representative
Pharmacy Technician II:Minimum 2-4 years retail pharmacy experience
Or
Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
Preferred:Pharmacy Technician I:
Minimum 2-4 Years Pharmacy Tech Experience ORCompletion of an accredited pharmacy technician program
HMO and 3rd Party Managed Care Experience
Pharmacy Technician II:HMO and 3rd Party Managed Care Experience
License(s)Required: TSBP Registration
Preferred: PTCB Certification
CommunicateRequired: To read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions.
Able to communicate with customer to hand complains and problems
Preferred: Know when to refer questions, problems, and complaints to a pharmacist.
Special SkillsRequired: Operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions
Math cash handling ? able to add and subtract; able to make change; able to complete daily cash report.
Type 20 WPM
Preferred: 10 key by touch
Other Required: Stress tolerance ? to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Stamina ? to work in fast paced environment, and maneuver around pharmacy.
