We are seeking a talented Controls Systems Engineer with experience in electrical design to join our team of professionals. In this position you perform the vital role of designing and developing controls systems based on our customer needs and specifications. This may include designing the layout, materials and information flow or machine placement. To meet customer needs you may be responsible for finding solutions to increase production efficiency, evaluate performance and proposing and implementing improvements. Travel will be required for commissioning of new or updated equipment. Our first preference is an individual who can work a hybrid schedule in our Tampa FL or Franklin WI office, but we will consider a remote option for right candidate.

Control Systems Engineer
Department: Automation Engineering
Reports to: Controls Systems Engineering Manager
Job Purpose or Summary:
A Control Systems Engineer is responsible for designing and analyzing control systems, verifying, and implementing code, fixing malfunctions, explaining, and providing information, and analyzing and researching designs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and Functional Design Specification, PLC code, and sequencer pinning documentation based on process design.
- Design I/O Checkout list.
- Design equipment specification and cost analysis.
- Design electrical schematics and controls equipment.
- Develop equipment and labor cost estimation.
- Design of control system network architecture.
- Lead Functional Design Specification meetings and Factory Acceptance Test simulations.
- Lead commissioning and training activities.
- Aid in continuous improvements of new and existing Control standards to be utilized by all members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. EIT, PE, CCE, ISA, and Ignition Core/Gold certified.
Experience/Training: 3-6 years of experience in a related field.

- Proficiency with PC and Windows Operating system, Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to identify, create, plan, and track tasks required to provide a completed Control System Design based on P&ID’s and layouts.
