Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop aircraft in-flight communications kits.
- Assist in the certification process of composite materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform structural analysis using Femap/NASTRAN to evaluate the integrity and performance of aircraft components.
- Conduct finite element analysis to optimize designs and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in Damage Tolerance & Fatigue assessments to ensure the reliability and safety of aircraft structures.
- Implement ARINC 791 practices to meet industry requirements for airborne equipment installation.
- Liaise with FAA ACO's and/or ODA's to facilitate certification processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design software, particularly SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis principles and finite element analysis techniques.
- Experience with certification processes and standards in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with composite materials and their applications in aircraft structures.
- Knowledge of Damage Tolerance & Fatigue principles is preferred.
- Understanding of ARINC 791 practices and their implementation.
- Experience working with FAA ACO's and/or ODA's is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
