KS StateBank is Hiring a Mortgage Loan Processor I Near Manhattan, KS

Position Description:
This is a full-time position in Loan Documentation at our Farm Bureau office. In this position you will be responsible for processing multiple types of consumer loans with proper documentation in an accurate and timely manner. These loans include consumer mortgage in-house, HELOC, automobile, PLOC and other secured and unsecured loans. You will follow proper procedures and compliance to ensure that the banks position and interest in the supporting collateral is perfected and the loans are ready for the clients signature. This position also provides loan support to the Loan Officers, the Loan department personnel and management as needed for all bank locations.
This is a full-time position; Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM with flexibility. We anticipate a starting salary of $40,000-$55,000 per annum based on your experience and location. Job Responsibilities:
Prepare consumer real estate and consumer non-real estate loans. Utilization of ComplianceOne, LaserPro and CreditQuest software to create the proper loan forms and supporting documents required for accurate and timely loan closings
Assist the Loan Officer with the ordering of appraisals, title commitments, flood determinations, and insurance from the appropriate vendors
Collect and pay the appropriate fees and process collateral record filings associated with any loan to secure collateral
Image correct documentation to Synergy software, adhering to company guidelines
Maintain current knowledge on compliance regulations and procedures for securing the proper filings on loan collateral following proper guidelines and policies
Must be able to contribute to team-oriented environment, including support of other team members' duties in a manner that further advances the goals and objectives of the department
Troubleshoot and research questions from customers and other bank personnel in a professional manner
Prepare loan documents for booking and uploading to JHA Silverlake by completing a cross application along with any wire transfer forms and cashiers checks
Establish and maintain effective business and working relations with vendors, suppliers, external clients and company personnel and management
Ability to look outside the box for ideas on how to improve the processing and closing workflow to gain greater efficiency
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High School Graduate or GED required; Associates or undergraduate degree in finance or related field preferred, but not required
1 - 2 years of experience in consumer mortgage processing required; 3 years preferred
Solid internal and external customer service
Detail oriented
Dependable and adaptable
Displays drive and initiative
Work as a team player
Able to multi-task and make quick decisions
Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to work under pressure
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Able to view a computer screen for long periods of time
Must be able to speak and listen clearly both in person and on the phone
Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy
This job may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently
