Position: Production Control Clerk

Position Status: Hourly, part-time

Reporting to: Production Control Mgr/Master Scheduler

Basic Job Description / Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assisting with the printing/assembly of work order paperwork, organizing work orders for dissemination to the shop floor, correcting labor reporting errors, and other duties as may be assigned. Some customer service duties may also be included.

This position will start as a part-time/hourly role, but has the potential to develop into a full-time role for the right person.

Essential functions include:

Work Order Management

• Daily printing of work orders & related drawings; assembling both and forwarding to purchasing for materials review.
• Daily matching of work orders to a nesting list for laser-cutting ops, and distribution of same.
• Creation of work orders for new parts/new revisions as directed by the Master Scheduler
• This function will require knowledge of/training in the Global Shop Solutions ERP System. Prior knowledge of GSS is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.

Labor Reporting Data Correction

• Working with the Master Scheduler, review work orders for Accounting to correct any missing or errant labor postings.

Additional Tasks

• Office backup to answer and route incoming company phone calls
• Greet visitors and route them to KSM contacts
• Freely communicate ideas for improvement, efficiency, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
