What we are looking for
Aleto Inc. is seeking to hire an Interior Designer Project Manager to serve as the onsite Interior Designer/Project Manager responsible for the successful completion of all aspects of the assigned contract between Aleto and the Client agency. Coordinates with the Senior Program Manager daily; responsible for the daily operation of the contract and progression toward client goals. Promotes a solid, working relationship with subcontractors. The ideal candidate will specialize in various types of interior furnishings for Federal Government Agencies. Possesses the ability to assist with the development of furniture plans, reviewing bills of materials, and facilitating the installation of furniture as required. Must have 15 years of experience with delivering large-scale and complex office space projects.
Senior Interior Designer Project Manager - Essential Job Duties
Work includes significant project-management responsibility. Expert knowledge of the function and responsibility for the development of work plans or implementation strategic direction; discerns priorities in conjunction with the COR and the Sr. Program Manager - assists in the development of the day-to-day tactical plan for the project or team. Ensures accomplishment of projects as assigned by the Senior Program Manager and client.
Key skills, core competencies, and strengths are as follows:
•Thorough knowledge of working with and developing furniture BPA
•Thorough knowledge of systems of furniture and case goods
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Thorough understanding of how Telecommunications &Audio/Visual technology interact with furnishings
•Ability to draft furniture plans and models necessary to communicate furniture concepts
•Ability to develop and organize space requirements
•Documentation skills for project schedules, project responsibilities, and progress
•Familiar with spreadsheet software particularly with Gantt and program evaluation and review techniques, or PERT charts to display tasks required for scheduling and project completion
•Knowledge of construction phasing and techniques.
•Multi-tasking: Able to handle/coordinate more than one project simultaneously

Key Functions:
•Works with the Program Manager as necessary to facilitate the planning, specification, review, and installation of furnishings
•Coordinates with internal and external project stakeholders to complete projects
•Assists with the development of furniture cost estimates for project budgets
•Works with project team members, clients, and vendors to coordinate activities, environment setup, installation, and equipment testing
•Works under the general supervision and guidance of the Program Manager and the Director of DEA Facilities Management to provide solutions to workspace requirements, challenges, or changes.
Education/Experience:
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance, preference on current clearance holders.
  • A degree in business, architecture, engineering, or interior design with 15 years of overall experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience is desired.
  • Experience working on federal contracts and familiarity with Government contracting procedures is preferred.
  • Experience submitting written proposals, scopes of work, scheduling, and coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Working knowledge of facilities management, facilities enterprise decision-making, and rules, policies, and practices related to government facilities.
  • Background in systems furniture, furniture procurement, and personnel relocation is desired.
  • Working knowledge of BOMA, national building codes, life safety codes, ADA compliance
  • Industry designation preferred (NCIDQ, Registered Architect, Professional Engineer, PMP, etc.)
Aleto Team Lead Job Duties
  • Compliance with all Aleto processes, standards, and guidelines including utilizing the employee and intranet platforms, clocking in and/or entering time daily, submitting expense reports, providing monthly progress reports, etc.
  • Lead and facilitate recurring performance development meetings with your direct reports and participate in meetings with your Team Lead. Utilize these meetings to discuss current job tasks, promote open dialog/feedback, recognize and celebrate wins, and review positive and purposeful approaches for meeting work-related and professional development goals.
  • Attend team meetings, tri-annual company All-Hands Meetings, Leadership Development sessions, and other company-sponsored team-building events to foster and support Aleto's core values, vision, and culture.
Technological Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent critical path method scheduling software.
  • Experience facilitating virtual meetings (such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet)
  • Experience working with AutoCAD / Sketchup

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time, move inside and around an office, position self to access items located in high or low areas, and transport items weighing up to 20 pounds across the office. Requires the constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery and the ability to observe details at a close range typically within a few feet of the observer. The position consistently requires work to be completed in an office environment with artificial light and air.
