Our Print Operations team in New Jersey is looking for a hardworking and reliable Print Operator to join the team!

The role calls for a hands-on approach to ensure that all printing tasks are carried out with precision and efficiency, aligning with KUBRA's commitment to operational excellence. As a pivotal member of the team, the Print Operator will oversee the seamless production process, from setup to completion, guaranteeing that every job is delivered to the highest standard and within the specified timeframes.

Facility address: 30 Knox Dr, Piscataway, NJ

Shift: Monday to Friday from 1:00pm - 9:00pm

What you get to do everyday

  • As a Print Operator, you will work in our print production environment to operate high speed printing equipment to meet the daily printing requirements of various client jobs. 
  • As a Print Operator, you will be responsible for:
  • Operating computer consoles and printing equipment, while learning the make-up, operating procedures, and structure of print production jobs
  • Setup and printing of production jobs, performing quality control checks, and performing general maintenance on printing equipment
  • Assigning print production jobs to the appropriate digital printing equipment using spooler software/tools, executing appropriate printer command files, and preparing and stacking each job correctly for delivery to manual finishing teams with appropriate paperwork/logs
  • Adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP), Quality Test Methods (QTMs), and Quality Assurance (QA) processes
  • Keeping an open line of communication with other departments including Insert Operators, IT and QoS teams and ensuring that the next shift is aware of any print jobs left behind for completion
  • Keeping the Print area and general work environment clean, adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

What skills do you need?
  • Basic knowledge of high speed printing equipment.
  • Experience in the operator adjustments required to operate and run high-speed printers.
  • Ability to perform basic PC tasks such as copying and moving files, creating directories, and editing files.
  • Entry-level familiarity with Windows and DOS platforms.
  • Competent analytical and problem solving skills as it relate to print operators.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift.
