Your Role
In this high profile and customer-facing Sea Logistics position, the individual will be responsible for developing the export sea logistics product for the region. The role will require a highly motivated individual to analyze data sources in order to identify opportunities to develop and retain business in line with the company’s strategic growth targets. The overall goal is product growth. The individual will be expected to work closely with the area line management teams, BU sales / sales mgmt., National Key Account mgmt. and Specialty Product Leaders to facilitate growth / retention opportunities while acting as the bridge with the Trade, National Pricing and Implementation teams to ensure clear understanding on scope, pricing levels and business onboarding requirements.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide commercial leadership & direction to the local area teams as it pertains to the Sea Export product
- Drive volume growth on sea exports for the region while maintaining trade profitability
- Yield Maximization – maximize GP through carrier choices and negotiating with internal/external stakeholders
- Coordinate on pricing strategies for BU Sales and National Key Account opportunities in tandem with Trade Management, National Pricing and Export Specialty Product Leaders (Reefer, LCL, etc.)
- Pro-actively participate in customer visits / meetings in conjunction with local/area personnel
- Manage Customer retention & focus on prospecting for new Business
- Stay up-to-date with Market Knowledge & provide continuous updates to the Team
- Business Development & Strategy setting to increase Market share
- Supporting Sales in turning opportunities into Business Partners
- Close cooperation with Branch & Area management for an enhanced customer experience
- Enhance customer satisfaction through the highest level of service quality achievable
- Actively seek regular community-based activities for team participation
- Establish and maintain a positive employee experience
- 5 years of sales and new business development experience.
- 5 years of freight forwarding industry experience in particular with Sea Logistics.
- Demonstrated skills in planning, critical thinking, information gathering/analysis, prioritization, time management, and complaint resolution.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to actively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
