- Experienced with college preparatory learning environments
- Able to develop a culture of caring, compassion, and support in an environment that values each student's gifts and challenges.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that utilize inquiry-based learning strategies.
- Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Encourage students to ask questions, conduct research, and explore various perspectives in literature and writing.
- Integrate Christian principles and values into the curriculum and classroom activities.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and staff.
- A bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification.
- Experience with inquiry-based learning methods.
- Strong understanding of Christian values and the ability to integrate faith into teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Passion for literature and language arts, and a desire to instill that passion in students.
