Job Summary :

Kurtis Chevrolet is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our dealership as a Service Porter.

As a service porter, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the service department and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with vehicle logistics, maintaining the cleanliness of the service area, and providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic, and possess a customer-centric attitude.

Responsibilities :

Greet customers and assist them with their service appointments, ensuring a warm and friendly welcome.

Park and retrieve customer vehicles in a timely and careful manner, following dealership protocols.

Keep the service area and customer waiting area clean and organized, including removing trash and debris.

Assist service advisors and technicians with various tasks, such as moving vehicles, fetching parts, and performing vehicle walkarounds.

Ensure the service lane supplies are properly stocked and stored appropriately.

Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure and topping up fluid levels.

Occasionally deliver completed vehicles to customers, providing a brief overview of services performed and answering basic inquiries.

Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers, addressing their needs promptly and effectively.

Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for customers and dealership personnel.

Assist with shuttle services for customers, driving them to their destinations and picking them up when their vehicles are ready.

Assist in keeping inventory of dealership loaner vehicles, monitoring fuel levels and coordinating refueling when necessary.

Support the service department in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and resolving any customer concerns with tact and empathy.

Collaborate with other dealership staff to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional customer service across departments.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a service porter or in a similar automotive service role is preferred but not required.

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physically capable of performing tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.

Professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers and dealership personnel.

Knowledge of basic automotive terminology is advantageous.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours as needed.
