Job Summary
The Director of Operations/VP of Operations is responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily operations of the company. The role ensures that the business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The scope of responsibility is extensive, requiring thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ultimate goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations, facilitating accelerated development and long-term success.
 

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

·       Communicate with staff to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.

·       Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress.

·       Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback.

·       Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures in line with organizational objectives and implement improvements.

·       Manage procurement processes and coordinate the allocation of materials and resources.

·       Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.

·       Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation.

·       Manage relationships and agreements with external partners and vendors.  
 

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
Required:

·       Proven experience as Director of Operations or in an equivalent position.

·       Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field (MBA preferred).

·       Over 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing sector.

·       Competency in planning and managing a wide range of operational activities.

·       Exceptional leadership skills to identify the most efficient ways to run the business.

·       Excellent communication and people skills.

·       In-depth knowledge of various business functions and principles (supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.).

·       Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

·       Effective decision-making skills.

·       Experience in developing budgets and writing business plans.
