Description

Sales Representative will be selling into accounts while maximizing sales and building customer relations. You will work to achieve sales goals and earn bonuses and incentives.

Merchandising and building displays will be key distribution.

This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and systems for approval.

Duties and Responsibilities

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this position. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the position as necessary.

• Must determine and maintain the proper scheduling of the route to ensure timely delivery of product and avoid out of stocks.
• Maintain good rotation of stock, fill shelves, face and front cold box and hot shelf.
• Seek out new opportunities in every account (i.e., displays, P.O.S).
• Sell in product that is on promotion and have knowledge of packaging in every account.
• Balance time spent in each account against the potential of the account.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Certificate; Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience in sales wine, spirits, and beer marketing and promoting experience;

or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.

Experience to work outside of normal shift hours to accommodate various employee schedules.

Required Knowledge and Abilities

• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing auditing safety inspections. This includes knowledge of delivery and distribution process and procedures.
• Knowledge of products, competitive conditions, market trends and be able to cultivate an action plan to grow the customer’s business.
• Strong communication skills and computer skills with Microsoft systems.
• Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.

Physical Demands

• Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular.
• Employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw
• Employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Exposure to weather and temperature variations.
• To help load / unload beer cases at events and at account locations.

Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment)

Involves routine and frequent exposure to :

Bright / dim light; Dusts and pollen. Extreme heat and / or cold; Wet or humid conditions. Extreme noise levels Vibration;

Fumes and / or noxious odors. Traffic Heights. Other extreme hazards not listed above.

Special Certifications and Licenses

• Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be AB Sales Rep Certified on Brew U, prior to selling beer product on a sales route.
• Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.

Reports to : Directly to location and area Sales Manager.
