L & S is looking for a Application Drive Systems Specialist for WI or MN. We are seeking a self-motivated professional that has excellent problem-solving and communication skills and is able to work with a team as well as independently. We are willing to train if someone has an interest in electricity and power!

Responsibilities:

• Point-to-point wiring check for Electrical circuit testing.
• Service, test, and commission drives for industrial facilities.
• Troubleshoot and test control circuits, communications systems, protections systems for low voltage drives.
• Ability to read prints and control/protection schemes.
• Complete and submit reports accurately and timely.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Associates in electrical Power or equal experience
• Proficient computer, phone, written and oral communication skills
• Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on client/customer needs.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 50%-70% national and local travel with overnight stay.
• On call duty required approximately six times per year.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a similar position
• Electrical and software aptitude

Physical demands:

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, crawling, and reaching frequently.
• Occasional lifting of heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Must be able to adhere to applicable safety practices for the site.
• Uneven or slippery walking surfaces.
• Able to wear proper PPE (i.e. hearing protection, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.).
