The role of Director, Global Premiums Purchasing has a broad scope of responsibility touching upon multiple departments within COMPANY, CLIENT Marketing, Legal, and Quality Assurance. The Director, Global Premiums Purchasing is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of assigned products at the best cost to the U.S. Client restaurant system and Client international markets. Principal accountability include supervising, training and developing the skills of the COMPANY Global Premiums Business Team, assisting in the establishment of business priorities, consulting with CLIENT on ongoing long and short-term calendar planning and pricing, negotiating with suppliers for each product manufactured, and the development of the best overall supply matrix that provides the best product cost at each assigned distribution center. In addition, review periodic filler recommendations and all program order recommendations proposed by Promotions Planning and Inventory Management ensuring alignment with program and target filler inventory strategies, develop and manage Premiums revenue strategy, and propose and implement short- and long-term strategies to ensure the continued success and growth of COMPANY and its commitment to be “The best Purchasing entity in the industry”.

The Director, Global Premiums Purchasing is also responsible for assisting in the oversight and execution of the SCS contracted services pursuant to the SCS and CLIENT International Premiums Services Agreement which include program, supply chain, costing and contract management for premiums programs purchased by the International Territories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in developing short- and long-term strategies supporting the development and execution of all Premiums promotions in accordance with the CLIENT marketing calendar.

• Effective development and management of external and internal relationships with assigned suppliers, members, and COMPANY, SCS, and CLIENT personnel.

• Communications liaison between CLIENT Marketing and Quality Assurance departments, Food & Packaging department, Distribution and Logistics departments, and SCS for premiums promotions.

• Significant supervisory responsibility to ensure flawless execution and implementation of global premiums promotions, to ensure uninterrupted supply of products, while minimizing leftover/obsolete inventories.

• The direct management of the Senior Manager, Global Premiums Business Planning & FOR and the Global Field Order Request Analyst Manage the relationship and performance of the assigned Manufacturing Agency of Record

• Establish and track performance of the Manufacturing Agency of Record against pre-established goals and objectives including final reconciliation of product costs upon completion of the program.

• Review and analyze premiums and Self-Liquidating Offer (SLO) product budgets and cross-pricing and negotiate terms and conditions of all supply contracts including any required contract amendments.

• Managing contingency fund by minimizing cost (filler premiums, tooling management program, as well as other miscellaneous costs).

• Managing premiums production and deliverable timetables to ensure timely delivery including the prompt approval of tooling and manufacturing authorizations in accordance with internal authorization policy and manufacturing timetable.

• Review detail forecasts and budgets prepared by Finance to ensure alignment with current agency pricing and FOR volume forecasts

• Continuously review premiums supplier conditions, supplier contracts and optional suppliers, to ensure “best cost”, including the development and implementation of full cost transparence with our factories and Manufacturing Agency of Record.

• Review of license agreements to ensure that terms are in accordance with those negotiated and ensure “best cost” (i.e. country participation, volumes, SLO pricing and royalty reporting, license fee)

• Ensure all invoicing is received from licencors promptly and provided to Finance

• Responsible for development of SLO platform including pricing modeling, profit margin analysis, and show of support for US SLO program when applicable

• Responsible for assisting in the development of the annual Premiums Department budget and revenue plan as well as the SCS revenue plan related to premiums

• Lead development and review of quarterly Board materials prepared for Premiums Committee and presentation of materials as required

• Lead and review of premiums order recommendation for each program and materials to be presented to Premiums Committee

• Perform financial modeling for special projects as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE A four–year degree is required. Masters degree is a plus. Must have strong leadership skills. Must have at least four to six years of relevant work experience. OTHER
