Job Title: Coordinator of Talent Development Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Executive Director of Employee Services & Talent Development Pay Grade: 6
Dept./School: Human Capital & Talent Development Initiated Date: May 2024
District Primary PurposeTo enhance the professional growth and development of district staff through targeted talent development initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and leadership readiness.
Department Primary PurposeTo support the Human Capital and Talent Development department by coordinating and enhancing talent development programs. This role is instrumental in implementing effective professional development, continuing education, and leadership pipeline initiatives that align with the district's strategic goals for staff advancement and educational excellence.
Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in talent development or instructional design (e.g., ATD certification) are advantageous.
Qualification Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in talent development, professional development, or adult education.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate training sessions and workshops effectively.
  • Knowledge of current trends in educational professional development and leadership training.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and external partners in the development and implementation of training programs.
  • Proficiency in utilizing learning management systems and digital tools to deliver and track training outcomes.
Major Responsibilities And Duties
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of professional development programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of district teachers and staff.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions and organizations to establish continuing education partnerships that provide additional learning opportunities for district personnel.
  • Assist in the design and management of leadership pipeline programs, identifying and nurturing potential leaders within the district.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and seminars, ensuring they are effective, engaging, and aligned with the district's educational goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of talent development initiatives, using feedback and performance data to make informed improvements.
  • Support the Executive Director in managing the talent development budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize participant outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of training participants, schedules, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with district policies and accreditation requirements.
  • Provide regular reports to the Human Capital and Talent Development department on program progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Develop and distribute talent development resources and materials to support ongoing learning and development across the district.
  • Engage with district staff to assess ongoing training needs and align development programs with those needs.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesMay oversee a team of training facilitators or administrative support staff as needed.
Working ConditionsPhysical Demands:Typically involves office work and the facilitation of training sessions, which may require standing, presenting, and interacting with participants.
Work EnvironmentPrimarily office-based but includes working in various training environments within the district. Requires interaction with a diverse range of district employees and external partners.
