We are currently seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our team and help us ensure the excellence of our products as we grow.

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Manager will play a crucial role in creating and implementing a quality management system (ISO) with a comprehensive set of QC procedures to ensure our manufactured modular housing units are continuously produced against all applicable internal and external standards. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in quality management, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry. You will work closely with the production team and external quality surveyors to ensure all products meet our stringent quality standards and the regulatory framework in Massachusetts. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and reputation of our products in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and execute a Quality Management System (ISO) within all departments of the company and perform regular audits to ensure compliance.
• Focus on the design and implementation of QC and reporting of finished work procedures within the production department to ensure all manufactured products are manufactured against approved project drawings, internal production standards and predefined regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and finished product to ensure compliance with earlier mentioned drawings, standards and requirements.
• Cooperate with third party inspectors to ensure MA State and Local AHJ regulatory compliance through the State labeling process.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality reports.
• Identify and address any issues or defects in the manufacturing process.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
• Report to management on quality performance and areas for improvement.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing and construction environment.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by OSHA.
• May require standing for long periods.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in construction or architecture.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, unstructured, startup environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
• College education in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with quality control software or other digital organizational tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in modular housing or prefabricated construction.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and other industry-specific regulations.
• Certification in quality control or a related field.
• Working knowledge of and certifications with OSHA.
• Bilingual skills
