We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Bioinformatics team in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing web-based tools for clinical lab scientists and directors to evaluate analytics data.

• Creating a web-based biorepository system for high-throughput sample aliquoting, batching, and long-term storage.

• Building software tools to generate reports in PDF and HL7 formats.

• Assembling analytics pipelines for processing next-generation sequencing data and deploying them to both cloud-based and on-premise environments.

• Providing user support for applications in clinical and R&D labs.

• Managing multiple projects independently with strong self-motivation.

• Collaborating closely with other software engineers to develop enterprise applications.

• Communicating effectively with laboratory scientists to understand and implement user requirements.

• Adopting modern and cutting-edge technologies in software development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• 2 years of experience in software development.

• 1 year of experience in web application development.

• Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Perl, R, SQL, shell scripting, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience with unit testing, Apache Tomcat, Node.js, Angular, Spring Framework, MySQL database, Subversion, Maven, Eclipse, and Unix.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience in software documentation or technical writing and Amazon Web Services is desirable.
