Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Transportation Planner located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Senior Transportation Planner will be responsible for conducting regional and transportation planning, with a focus on multi-modal transportation projects, and utilizing analytical skills. The role will involve a combination of onsite work in the New York City Metropolitan Area (White Plains or Brooklyn offices), and remote work. Other regional locations will be considered based on candidates location preference (NY, PA, VA, NC, SC).
Qualifications
- Regional Planning and Transportation Planning skills
- Land Use and Urban Planning skills
- Analytical Skills
- Experience in the design and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and analytical tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, ArcGIS Pro)
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or a related field
Requirements
- 5 years of industry experience
- Broad understanding of the principles and practices of planning, public outreach, and transportation
- Familiarity with grants and funding
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong report writing skills
- GIS Mapping
- Presentation/speaking skills
- Graphic skills
- Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn
- Outgoing personality
- Interest in growing and taking on new challenges
