Steel Coil - Machine Operator (Warren, MI) $18 / hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Locate and identify steel for processing.

Safely load and unload materials using a forklift and overhead crane.

Operate swagging machine to prepare coil for drawing process.

Operate draw block machine to draw coil rod steel to specified dimensions.

Utilize a micrometer to measure and verify coil diameter.

Operate hydraulic manco cutter to remove coil ends.

Accurately input production data into the computer system.

Perform banding, re-banding, and associated tagging tasks.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Assist with coil movement using forklift as needed.

Shift : Training on day shift : 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, then switching to night shift : 8 : 00 PM to 6 : 00 AM after training is done

Requirements :

Must possess a forklift experience.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to use a micrometer.

Must be able to wear steel-toed boots.

Must pass a drug test (THC not permitted).

Physical Demands :

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift and move heavy materials.

Repetitive motion tasks.
