Lacoste is Hiring a Loss Prevention and Inventory Manager Near New York, NY

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Commercial Operations, (and managing external vendors), the Loss Prevention & Inventory Control Manager guides and supports retail stores and corporate partners in the areas of loss prevention, inventory control and physical inventory. The Loss Prevention & Inventory Control Manager serves as the primary contact for the field teams in the aforementioned areas of the business.

They will be responsible for improving controls in item movement, loss prevention and physical inventory, leading to a reduction in shrink for all retail channels. The ideal candidate will be somebody who understands the responsibilities of a retail location from both sides: as a manager, and as a support team member. This person needs to be proactive, reactive, and an excellent communicator, capable of flawless project management skills.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Loss Prevention

  • Conduct investigations, store visits, remote camera review, as needed
  • Work with local police departments and organized retail crime organizations to create local support in major markets
  • Primary partner for DTIQ (3rd party loss prevention partner)
  • Manage LP audit program with DTIQ including store selection, action plan follow-up, trend analysis and recommending ways to improve compliance
  • Triage, investigate or appropriately delegate LP alerts from hotline, exception-based reporting to HR and other business partners
  • Develop and manage High Shrink Store program
  • Monitor store compliance in partnership with Market Leaders
  • Identify opportunities and create action plans to reduce store shrink
  • Produce, distribute, and summarize monthly shrink reports
  • Develop and/or update shrink awareness training and communication for stores
  • Manage 3rd party security guard vendors and needs

Inventory Management

  • Resolve all shipment discrepancies including delivery notification closing requests and missing delivery notifications
  • Reconcile end of month transfers with accounting team
  • Monitor all product movement including open delivery and transfer notifications, damage transfers and end of season transfers
  • Manage cycle count process to include monitoring results, follow up on variances, and monitoring cycle count adjustments
  • Produce weekly reporting and summary to track progress, compliance, and highlight gaps
  • Work closely with stores and Market Leaders to ensure complete inventory accountability in all stores
  • Work with IT, logistics partners and other corporate partners as necessary to quicky resolve all shipping and receiving issues affecting stores

Physical Inventory

  • Plan, lead and schedule physical inventory process with external vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Manage reconciliation, research and validation process with stores, Market Leaders and corporate partners
  • Research and present ideas to improve the physical inventory process including simplification and accuracy

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of loss prevention, investigations, investigative interviewing, inventory management, and physical inventory programs
  • 5 years of experience as a multi-unit Retail loss prevention leader, ideally at the regional or national level
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
  • Demonstrated excellence with project management is required; experience with budgeting/financial management is preferred
  • Capability to build and maintain relationships with all corporate support functions
  • Knowledge of MS Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel proficiency required
  • Excellent organization problem solving skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Extremely detail and service oriented
