Position Overview:
The Argyle is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is pivotal in maintaining our commitment to excellence in dining and hospitality, ensuring that every meal served meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will embody the principles of unreasonable hospitality, striving to exceed expectations and create memorable dining experiences for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Dining Director in planning and preparing meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Foster a culture of unreasonable hospitality by consistently going above and beyond to delight our residents and their families.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure efficient use of resources.
Contribute to menu development, incorporating resident feedback and seasonal ingredients.
Collaborate with other departments to support community events and special occasions.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices.
Passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences.
Ability to adapt to changing dietary needs and preferences of residents.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Exceptional communication skills and a positive attitude.
