Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Surgery nurse you must be detail oriented, flexible, able to juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat, adept with technical skills, a team player, and must have excellent communication skills. You must also be able to think critically in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

About this unit:

• 2 ORs / 3 Pre-Post areas; All Surgical and GI Procedures (position will rotate between Surgery and PACU roles)
• Average 30 Surgical and 30 GI Cases per month
• Opportunity to get Certified
• Strong cohesive team in a small facility; ability to work closely with surgeons, ask questions, learn and grow.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of hire
• PALS highly encouraged within 6 months of hire
• Experience as a Circulating RN or Pre/Post OP RN highly preferred
• On Call Rotation Required (Currently no weekend coverage required)
