Job Summary Lafayette Square's Finance team seeks an Accounting Manager, reporting to the Controller to support the company's financial wellbeing by tracking revenue and expenses, consolidating and analyzing financial data for multiple subsidiaries, and maintaining internal controls. This position will also play a key role in our financial close process, budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation, and tax.

Job Summary Lafayette Square's Finance team seeks an Accounting Manager, reporting to the Controller to support the company's financial wellbeing by tracking revenue and expenses, consolidating and analyzing financial data for multiple subsidiaries, and maintaining internal controls. This position will also play a key role in our financial close process, budgeting and forecasting, audit preparation, and tax.
Responsibilities
- Lead general accounting functions, including, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and T&E oversight
- Manage month-end close process, including, bank reconciliations, revenue recognition, prepaid and accrued expenses, balance sheet reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting
- Perform complex intercompany, investment, and CAPEX accounting and reporting
- Analyze financial data and create reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as, lenders or vendors
- Encourage employees to adhere to financial reporting requirements and deadlines
- Monitor department KPI's and dashboards
- Analyze and monitor monthly budget versus actual reporting and forecasting
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvement
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with multi-entity reporting and consolidated financials
- Advanced working knowledge of Quickbooks online, Excel, and Bill.com
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Must have demonstrated excellent oral, written, interpersonal, organizational and follow-through skills
- Experience with and commitment to utilizing technology for streamlining processes, workflows, and efficiency
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Must be a self-starter and collaborative, team-player
