Description

Job Summary:  

The Junior Sales Manager at Lakanto is responsible for driving sales growth in the private label and bulk ingredients sectors for our monk fruit and monk fruit sweetened ingredients. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying new sales opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Junior Sales Manager will work closely with the senior sales team to develop strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Sales and Business Development: 

  • Identify and target potential clients in the private label and bulk ingredients markets. 
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. 
  • Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities and trends in the natural food industry. 
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients. 
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals with clients. 

Client Relationship Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential clients. 
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure client satisfaction. 
  • Address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly and effectively. 
  • Regularly communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. 

Product Knowledge and Promotion:  

  • Build and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, including private label and bulk ingredients. 
  •  Educate clients about the benefits and features of the products. 

Sales Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Track and report on sales activities, performance, and results. 
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. 
  • Prepare regular sales reports for senior management. 

Team Collaboration: 

  • Work closely with the senior sales team to align on strategies and goals. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products. 
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events as required. 

Administrative Duties: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and client interactions. 
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts, budgets, and other required documentation. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. 

Requirements

 Qualifications:  

  • Some formal education in business, marketing, or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of general experience in sales 
  • Strong understanding of the private label and bulk ingredients markets and/or willingness and commitment to learn. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. 
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.

Working Conditions: 

  • Full-time, salaried position 
  • Occasional out of state travel may be required for client meetings & industry tradeshow events 
  • Standard office environment with the possibility of remote work flexibility up to 1 day per week.
