The Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment department seeks a district program specialist for English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies grades 3-5. This position plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the overall ELA curriculum and instructional practices within the school district. We are looking for a candidate with a deep understanding of Florida B.E.S.T ELA and Social Studies standards, instructional methodologies, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, regional program specialists and stakeholders. The specialist provides guidance, professional learning and resources to ensure consistent and high-quality ELA and Social Studies instruction across all schools.
The program specialist serves as a member of the district curriculum team charged with planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational programs including curriculum adoptions. The ideal candidate plans activities consistent with state board rules, statutes, district policies, procedures and program standards. Candidate must be reading endorsed.
