Lake Greeley Camp is a coed, overnight summer camp for children between the ages of 6-15. Residing on over 250 acres, the camp is located in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains approximately 2 hours from New York City. Warm and inviting, Lake Greeley Camp welcome children from across the United States as well as from around the world to create a diverse and exciting community. A daily program with over 60 daily activities provides campers with the opportunity to pursue their individual interests and progress at their own pace.
Responsibilities
The camp photographer is responsible for documenting the camp's daily activities and events and camper/staff interations. The position requires experience in both potrait and sports photography and a working knowledge of camera settings and composition. Applicants must be individuals with high moral character, exhibit a strong work ethic, act as a positive role model, and possess the ability to provide constant supervision and mature guidance of campers and staff members.
The primary responsibilities of the Photographer include:
- Photographing all camp activities (day and evening) and events.
- Selecting, editing, and uploading photos to online database for parental viewing.
- Leading and supervising the camp's photography program.
- Ensuring equipment is properly cared for, maintained, and repaired when needed.
- Developing daily lesson plans.
- The versatility to instruct children ages 7-15 at all skill levels.
- Maintaining a neat, clean and orderly activity site.
- Using your own DSLR camera and equipment is preferable.
- Passing a background check and provide references.
- CPR/First Aid recommended.
- Lake Greeley Camp is a non-smoking camp.
The Photographer is a member of our Leadership Team that in addition to running and supervising the photography activities, helps run our summer program, participates in evening activities and specials events, guides our staff and provides assistance where needed.
