Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our team and enhance the quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating engaging activities to promote social interaction and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities for residents in long-term care and home community care settings
- Assist in event planning and execution, ensuring activities cater to the needs and interests of senior residents
- Implement memory care programs to support residents with cognitive impairments
- Collaborate with the care team to provide personalized care and support to residents
- Manage schedules effectively to ensure timely delivery of activities and events

Requirements:

- Experience in senior care, recreational therapy, or caregiving is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Strong organizational skills for managing schedules and coordinating events
- Passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through engaging activities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
