Primary Purpose
Provide all Members and guests with a warm and welcoming greeting through utilization of name recognition tools, and seating and assisting food server staff to ensure a quality experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide members and guests with the highest quality service
Greet/Bid Farewell and acknowledge members and guests by name when possible
Assist with service in the dining and grille areas
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
Distribute tables evenly among server stations
Perform opening and closing side work duties with head server
Attend all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions
Arrive at scheduled shift on time and proper uniform
Promote teamwork and positive work atmosphere
Adhere to the rules & regulations of the Clubhouse dress code as defined in the Lake Naomi Guide
Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees and purveyors to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
Provide a favorable image of the Lake Naomi Club at all times to promote its aims and objectives, and to foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all of its areas of endeavor.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Clubhouse Manager.
Qualifications
Must be able to complete Host/Hostess training class and satisfy testing standards
Must possess excellent personal presentation and verbal skills
Must be able to have a flexible schedule to satisfy the demands of the Club and banquet operations
Must have the ability to work with the Clubhouse Service Manager, LNC Bar Manager and Event Coordinator as a team player in effort to maximize Club and guest dining experience.
Working Conditions
Must be neatly dressed and well groomed in clean, company approved attire.
Must be able to read menus.
Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance.
Must be able to clearly communicate guests’ needs to servers, bussers, managers, etc.
Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond guest requests.
Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify manager of situations.
Must be able to effectively ask for membership identification.
Physical Requirements/Hazards
Slipping and tripping.
Loud background noise.
May be required to carry bus trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.) in the absence of other employees or if business in unexpectedly high.
Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shifts.
