Lake Nona Wave Hotel is Hiring a Front Desk Agent Near Orlando, FL

Overview

Our Living Room Host is an integral part of Wave’s Welcome Team entrusted with providing guests with concierge service from the moment of booking and throughout their stay. The Welcome Team consists of a team of host who share all Welcome Team responsibilities, from bell service to front desk services and telephones communications (PBX). Our host proactively reach out to arriving guests and offer to answer questions and learn about guests’ specific needs. Upon arrival, our guests are greeted warmly and enthusiastically by our Living Room Hosts who assist with all aspects of the arrival such as bell service, check-in, restaurant reservations and providing information about hotel amenities as well as Lake Nona events among others. Our Living Room Hosts also collaborate with other departments (i.e. Sales, Food & Beverage, Reservations, Housekeeping, Banquets) to help in delivering distinctively different and authentic experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically welcome our guests, anticipate their needs, assist them with check in and check out, and respond promptly to questions and requests.
  • Offer Bell Services to all arriving and departing guests.
  • Escort arriving guests and provide tours of the resort and orientations to the guestrooms.
  • Share your personal passions and knowledge of the services and amenities available to guests to help them feel at home.
  • Collaborate with team members to communicate what you see and hear to staff and management to ensure the guests’ needs are being met.
  • Interact with and entertain our guests in the Living Room.
  • Take the initiative to go beyond the ordinary to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.
  • Coordinate guest requests, reservations, and miscellaneous tasks as required.
  • Assist guests with transportation needs.
  • Answer telephone calls and provide a well-mannered reply to all telephone callers in a professional manner.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing calls at front desk of the hotel.
  • Remain enthusiastically professional while talking over telephone and maintain smile all through as this reflect through the voice.
  • Provide thorough and accurate information about different services, amenities or features that the hotel provides.
  • Handle cash, balance cash drawer. settle credit card balances and transact financial transactions for guests

Qualifications

  • Flexibility. This is a demanding business and we look for flexibility with work days and hours, but it’s also a lot of fun!
  • Previous experience passionately providing service to others and assisting them with creating authentic vacation or travel experiences.
  • People Person. The best part of serving others is creating guest experiences that go beyond the expected.
  • Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate both verbally and through legible and grammatically correct writing.
  • A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to serve others, and knows how to multi-task while ensuring accuracy.
