Eastlake High School Lake Washington School District is looking for a qualified Math Teacher to fill a leave replacement (1.0 FTE) position at Eastlake High School (within the Eastlake Learning Community) for the 2024-2025 school year. Building administrators will contact you if you are selected for an interview.
Eastlake High School is a growing 9-12 grade community of over 2,300 students. Staff are supported by five administrators and one dean. Our math department is highly collaborative, and places emphasis on robust participation in regularly-scheduled PLC meetings. As well, our math department believes that ALL students should benefit from exceptional teaching; therefore, each teacher teaches two discrete areas within math - one at either end of the subject spectrum. Eastlake offers classes in algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, honors algebra 2, statistics, math analysis, UW pre-calculus, calculus foundations, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC. Specific sections of algebra 1 and geometry are co-taught with special educators to support students with IEPs. Currently, Eastlake operates on a modified block schedule, with 55-minute classes held on Monday; and rotating 90-minute blocks on Tuesday-Friday.
Qualifications:
Certification/License: Washington State Certification as a Mathematics Teacher
Salary:
Paid per teacher salary schedule with Base contract plus additional contracts for LEAP days, and Responsibility. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
