Lake Washington School District is Hiring a Substitute Teacher 23-24 School Year Near Redmond, WA
Lake Washington School District is looking for qualified Substitute Teacher candidates for the 2023-2024 school year substitute pool. If you are a current certificated substitute within the district, you need NOT re-apply. Certificated Substitute Teachers work on an at-will basis during the school year to fill vacancies as needed. Work hours will vary based on the assignment. Applications will be reviewed when complete (with all appropriate confidential references returned – must include one recent supervisor). If selected for the Substitute Teaching Pool, candidates will be contacted by the Substitute Office as openings occur within the substitute pool.
Mandatory orientation and training will occur after a candidate is selected for the Substitute Pool.
Qualifications
Substitutes who work six (6) to twenty (20) consecutive days in the same assignment shall be paid $215.00 per day.
Substitute Bonus ProgramSubstitutes who work 50-69 days per year will receive a $1,000.00 dollar bonus; substitutes who work 70-99 days per year will receive a $1,500.00 bonus; and substitutes who work 100 days per year will receive a $2,000.00 bonus at the end of the school year.
A day shall be equal to one full day or two half days. The bonus is paid at the end of the school year in the July paycheck.
Long Term Substitute AssignmentsLong-term substitute assignments in excess of twenty (20) days will be paid at the contract teacher rate, retroactive to the first day of assignment, except that when, in the judgment of Human Resources, the assignment appears at the onset to be a long-term assignment, the contract teacher rate may be paid from the beginning of the assignment.
