Role and Responsibilities
- Ability to underwrite and analysis of personal and business tax returns, internal company documents, and personal financial documents. Gather and analyzes loan applicants’ financial data to evaluate risk. Makes recommendations about whether to increase, adjust, extend, or close lines of credit.
- Prepare and presents credit reports to internal Loan team and Credit Committee.
- Interpretation and critical thinking of all financial documents to determine the potential credit risk of each client.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Willingness to learn new job functions and take on tasks within the credit side of the bank in addition to crossing over to other departments within the bank when necessary.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- One (1 ) plus years of banking experience including but not limited to formal credit training is preferable.
- BBA or BA Degree from a business college is required.
- At least 6 hours of accounting, or equivalent graduate-level accounting coursework
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Excellent written and oral communication
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Jack Henry Xperience
