Lakeview Behavioral Health is Hiring a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist- Overnights Near Grand Rapids, MN

Lakeview is looking for qualified candidates for our Certified Peer Recovery Specialist position at our Lakeview Reflections Recovery Residence in our Men’s Residence. This position is for a full time 12am-8am overnight postion, schedule days and times can vary.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Holds a current Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential from the MCB.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of one year in recovery from a substance use disorder.
  • Demonstrate dedication to promoting recovery opportunities.
  • Be knowledgeable of all relevant statutes, rules, and standards relevant to the provision of peer recovery services.
  • Be skilled in the process of identifying and assessing a wide range of peer needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about local community resources and how to use those resources for the benefit of the client.
  • Ability to successfully complete MN Dept of Human Services background study.
  • Have minimum computer skills
  • Must possess a valid Minnesota Driver’s License and be able to be insured as driver within the company

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Lakeview Behavioral Health policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to and follow MCB code of ethics for CPRS.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and provide services within the scope of peer recovery services
  • Act as a role model in recovery for the residents of the Lakeview Reflections Recovery Residence by modeling sobriety, work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Schedule and meet individually with clients.
  • Provide education, advocacy and mentoring through self-disclosure of recovery experiences.
  • Assist clients with accessing housing, employment, education, and advocacy services.
  • Non-clinical recovery support to assist clients in transitioning from treatment into the recovery community.
  • Engage clients based on their level of receptivity and individual needs, acknowledging that even the same person may need different types of peer-based services at different points in their recovery process.
  • Document the provision of Peer Recovery Specialist services in the client file to maintain compliance with Rule 245G licensing requirements.
  • Demonstrate a personal belief in recovery.
  • Demonstrate a genuine hope and optimism that their peers will succeed.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of agency information and client records as required by HIPPA and CFR 42
  • Help create a positive, upbeat work environment; participate in team building activities.
  • Participate in the weekly clinic meetings to review and update client progress notes.
  • Participate in community education and events as requested.
  • Ensure the Safety and well being of clients residing in the home
  • Requires maintaining a visible presence in the Reflections Recovery Residence, including being present in the residence at night.
  • Provide management of the home, upkeep, schedule repairs, grocery shopping, keeping inventory of household supplies, documenting and remediating safety issues, and monitoring the home to protect from danger
  • Provide crisis intervention and mediation as necessary
  • Enforce the house rules, including assignment of household chores to residents.
  • Complete documentation of Resident information, including activities performed or interventions provided as part of the service delivery process, to be documented and monitored in Resident case files
  • Ensure documentation of client status when they leave and when they return
  • Organization and maintenance of documentation of written client information
  • Provide other Treatment Team members with ongoing feedback regarding Resident behavior to assist in the determination of programming
  • Teach Residents how to utilize available support systems in the community
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Administer UAs and Breathalyzers as needed/requested

Full-Time Salary Overnight Position, 40 hours per week. Involves working various days/hours. Position is typically be overnight shift of 12am-8am.
