Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized care for patients with wounds, injuries, or other skin conditions. This role requires a compassionate individual with strong nursing skills and a focus on patient well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing and treating various types of wounds including pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, and diabetic ulcers
- Developing and implementing individualized wound care treatment plans
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educating patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining accurate medical documentation related to wound assessments and treatments
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with a background in nursing
- Previous experience in wound care management is preferred
- Knowledge of physiology, catheter care, and dermal fillers
- Familiarity with occupational health practices and health coaching
- Understanding of workers' compensation laws related to healthcare settings
- Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or similar environments
- Ability to ventilate patients when necessary
