Lakeview is looking for a person to operate as a house supervisor for the Hospital, building and grounds and will function as facility safety, patient/resident safety issues during the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. (12 hour shift). This role will have supervisory elements over the building only. No Medical background required.

• Protects life and property of all persons on premises and patrols buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft and vandalism.
• Secures, unlocks and protects the building.
• Responds to safety needs of facility personnel.
• Assists the staff with patient care and transfers as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides safety for patients / residents / staff.
• Coordinates with internal and/or external agencies as necessary to ensure appropriate disposition of persons contacting the facility regarding provisions of services.
• Receives calls coming into the facility and directs these calls to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensures that facility operations are conducted in a manner which maintains maximum patient/resident respect, staff and visitor safety.
• Demonstrates superior customer service and patient/resident advocacy.
• Ensures communication of all significant information within and outside the facility.
• Participates in performance improvement activities as required. Records refrigerator temperatures through the facility.
• Assist Charge Nurse with scheduling when there are shift call ins.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Broad understanding of the hospital and its programs, sound judgment and excellent communication and decision making skills. Ability to obtain CPR training.
• Education: Minimum high school diploma
• Experience: Experience working within a facility unsupervised. Organizational skills. Ability to work with Microsoft products.

• Exposure Categories: Possible tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
  • Adheres to Lakeview Infection Control Policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, hand hygiene, isolation, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • To complete Infection Control Orientation upon hire.
  • To demonstrate hand hygiene and PPE competency upon hire and annually.
  • To maintain Lakeview requirements regarding vaccination, including but not limited to Influenza and COVID-19.
