LAKEVIEW is Hiring a Front-End Engineering Manager Near Coral, FL

OverviewFastlane Financial Solutions is a newly founded business line for direct-to-consumer lending efforts. The Fastlane team aims to improve people’s lives. The team will create innovative solutions that will raise awareness of available financial options and provide products to improve the financial well-being of consumers.
The engineering team in Fastlane will play a key role in building the product experience to launch a series of innovative products that will be beneficial for consumers. We will first launch new products/flows for existing customers and then expand to prospects. We are looking for leaders who can operate with a white sheet of paper, ideate, collaborate, build, launch, and iterate on new consumer-facing products. As a remote-first Consumer Lending Fintech team, this role can be remote or in an office in New York City, NY or Coral Gables, FL. The salary range for this role is $220,000 to $260,000 with an annual bonus; however, Bayview considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilites, a candidate's work experience, education/training, location and key skills.
ResponsibilitiesThe following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities as requested. Job duties may change as required by the needs of the company.
  • Manage and oversee a world-class front-end engineering team.
  • Help set the strategic direction and front-end (web and mobile) engineering roadmap across Fastlane.
  • Lead front-end engineering team in the technical development of new products.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including but not limited to Design, Product, Analytics, Data, Marketing, and other leaders to build and launch new products.
  • Use strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with a data-driven approach to enable decision-making.
  • Identify and break down complex business problems into solvable pieces that can be assigned to engineers and shipped modularly.
  • Cultivate career and performance growth through engaging, continuous dialogue with direct reports.
  • Track and monitor product performance against targets.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Compliance Standards.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience delivering products at scale in an agile environment for web and mobile products.
  • Expertise with at least one modern front-end JavaScript framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub), and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledgeable with A/B testing frameworks and end-user analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel).
  • 7 years of hands-on engineering experience.
  • 3 years managing and growing front-end engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Expertise in front-end engineering at a fast-growing fintech or e-commerce company.
  • Experience building scalable digital user interfaces and relevant systems/tools.
  • Ability to create and execute against a product engineering roadmap driving significant business and consumer impact.
  • Ability to work and communicate cross-functionally; collaborate & influence as part of a team.
  • Collaborative in team environments but also able to act autonomously as a decision-maker.
  • Analytical curiosity and experience using data to identify issues and determine actions.
  • Ability to hire/manage to build out a team with a strong team culture.
  • Ability to take “full ownership” of issues until they are completely resolved, and processes put in place to prevent recurrence.
